SUNSHINE AND SUNSHINE

”Brian, it’s not fair”, Justin complained and looked up at Brian with his most pleading eyes. Usually, he could get Brian to do anything he wanted that way, especially if he added some kissing and light touches, but this time Brian was unyielding.

“Quit whining, Sunshine”, he said, giving Justin his ‘I-am-annoyed-but-not-really’ look. “It’s all your own fault. If you had put sunscreen on, like I told you to, you wouldn’t be sitting here right now.”

Justin could hardly argue with that. He knew he should have put sunscreen on before he went to the beach the day before, but he decided to do it after he had taken the first swim. The inviting, blue sea, the long, white beach right outside the hotel and Brian in swimming trunks - it was all just too much to resist. And then he somehow got distracted and forgot all about it. Which, by the way, was all Brian’s fault.

As a result, Justin ended up with one hell of a sun rash, which was now covering both his arms and a part of his chest.

“This is so not the holiday that I wanted”, Justin muttered to himself as Brian left him and walked down the beach to take another quick swim, the third one today. As he reached the water, he turned and smirked at Justin before diving in. Justin stuck his tougue out at him and continued pouting.

Having fair skin really sucked. Sometimes it didn’t take more than a few minutes in the sun to give him a rash, and he hated it. He was well aware of how sensitive his skin was, so obviously he should have listened to Brian the day before, but he hated the fucking sunscreen too. It smelled and made his skin sticky.

But most of all, he hated being stuck in the shadows under this stupid palm tree, while Brian was swimming and cooling himself off in the perfect, blue sea.

Justin had been ready to ignore the fucking rash and just go out and enjoy himself in the sun anyway, but Brian was uncompromising. “No more sun for you until your rash is gone”, he said, handing Justin the cream he had bought for him at the pharmacy. It was supposed to get rid of the rash sooner, and also help with the itching, but as far as the itching went, it had not helped much so far. Brian constantly had to smack Justin’s hand away to stop him from scratching the red areas covering his skin.

The worst thing though, was how amused Brian was with the whole thing. “You have to admit it’s sort of funny”, he said earlier that morning while Justin examined his rash in the mirror with the most miserable look on his face. “Sunshine is allergic to sunshine. It’s pretty ironic.”

Justin could not see anything funny about that at all, and sent Brian a death glare, which Brian had the nerve to respond to by laughing.

By the time Brian came back from his swim, Justin sat with his back against the trunk of the palm tree, watching two hot guys who were playing volleyball nearby. He didn’t send Brian so much as a glance, even though wet, almost naked Brian was hard to resist looking at.

He noticed that Brian bent down next to him, but he kept his gaze on the guys.

“Hey Sunshine, don’t forget that you’re a married man now”, Brian whispered in his ear. Was there even a hint of jealousy in his voice? Justin suddenly had a hard time keeping a straight face.

“Like that’s something I’ll ever forget”, Justin said, smiling a little, finally looking at Brian. “But what do you expect, leaving me under a palm tree while you go off enjoying our honeymoon? I have to do something to keep myself entertained.”

“Entertainment, huh?” Brian started to wipe himself dry with a towel. “I thought I was the one who was supposed to provide that.”

Justin just looked at him.

“Okay, point taken”, Brian finally said, ruffling his wet hair with the towel. Justin thought he had never seen anything more sexy. “So, tell me what you want.”

“Well”, Justin grinned, satisfied with finally having Brian where he wanted. “I want you to take me back to our room and fuck my brains out for the rest of the day. I want us to order room service so we don’t have to leave the room again for hours. And then tonight, after sunset, I want us to come back to the beach for a midnight swim.”

Brian seemed pleased with the idea. “I knew I married you for a reason”, he said as he grabbed Justin’s hand and pulled him to his feet. Arms around each other, they stood there kissing for a long time, tasting each other, feeling each other. Enjoying being in love, being newlyweds, being together.

At that moment, Justin couldn’t care less about the sun rash. Nothing could ruin the happiness he felt at being here with Brian on their honeymoon, knowing that they would be together for the rest of their lives.

“Did you say something about me fucking your brains out for the rest of the day?” Brian whispered when they finally pulled apart long enough to speak.

Justin grinned and nodded. “How about we go and start some of that right now?” he suggested seductively, and Brian didn’t have to be asked twice. He smiled and used the towel to cover Justin’s arms, so the rash covered areas of his skin wouldn’t be exposed to the sun. Justin gave him a quick kiss as a silent ‘thank you’, and couldn’t help loving Brian’s protectiveness.

“But”, Justin warned as they started walking towards their hotel room. “Another ‘Sunshine is allergic to sunshine’ joke again, and I might file for divorce.”

Brian only smirked. Justin wanted to be angry, but he just couldn’t. Somehow Brian always made him feel better.

So he settled for lightly hitting Brian’s arm as a smile slowly escaped his lips.
