Here is my new Brian/Justin story, and this one is especially written as a birthday present for Tes ([livejournal.com profile] naleyangel )! Tes, I know you love the QaF pilot (who doesn't? ;)), so I hope you'll like this too. You're one of my very best friends and you are also the one who got me to watch QaF in the first place, so it only seemed right to give you a birthday present like this :) I love you girl, and I hope you get the most amazing day today, you deserve that! *BIG HUGS*

So, to the story! I finished this only a few minutes ago, so any mistakes and typos that might occur are all mine.

UNDER THE STREET LIGHT

“This is it.”

Justin made a sudden stop in the middle of the street and grabbed a hold of Brian’s arm. Brian turned and looked at him, taking in the younger man’s excited expression. They had been walking down Liberty Avenue together, making smalltalk about their days, like they often did. The early September night were quite chilly and there was a cold wind finding its way through the Pittsburgh streets and making the people there shiver and hide their hands in their pockets.

“This is what?” Brian asked somewhat indifferently, looking blankly at Justin. They were right outside of Babylon and he only wanted to get inside as quickly as possible.

Justin smiled, and tilted his head a bit. “This is where we met for the first time.”

Brian knew that. He also knew that they had both been walking past this place pretty much every day since then, so it wasn’t like it was that big of a deal.

At least he could pretend that it wasn’t.

“I know. Now, can we go inside? It’s freezing out here.”

But Justin seemed to have other plans. He turned, and in a few steps he was over by a street light. That street light. The one that changed their lives. He turned towards Brian again, and with a grin he leaned back against the lamp, just like he had been doing that night, all those years ago.

“It’s exactly five years ago today,” he said, as he pushed a few strands of hair away from his face, his gaze locked with Brian’s.

Brian knew that too. How could he ever forget? He even had a surprise waiting for Justin back at the loft. A weekend together in New York, so Justin could go see that art exhibition he wouldn’t shut up about. Achievements should be celebrated, and if this wasn’t an achievement, he didn’t know what was.

Brian slowly moved closer to Justin as the younger man continued. “I was standing right here. I was scared as hell, regretting that I’d come here at all. I wanted to go home. And then suddenly I saw you. Over by the jeep, together with Emmett and Ted and Michael. But I didn’t really see them. I didn’t really see anything else. I only saw you.”

Brian smiled a little as he stopped right in front of Justin. A lot of that night was pretty blurry to him, but this particular moment was somehow as clear in his mind as if it had happened yesterday. When he closed his eyes he could see Justin standing there under the street lamp, his eyes all wide and scared, even though he tried to act tough, and then the way his expression changed when their eyes spotted each other. The moment that changed his life, their lives, forever.

He leaned in and kissed Justin softly, letting his hands cup his face and his thumbs slowly brush over his cheeks. He couldn’t believe it was already five years since that fateful night. It felt like it just happened. But somehow it also felt strange that he had only known Justin for five years. He couldn’t remember how his life was like without him in it.

“Do you know what I thought when I first saw you?” Justin asked as he leaned his head back against the lamp and let Brian kiss his neck. Brian pulled away to look at Justin’s face, and Justin smiled and leaned a little closer, making sure that only Brian could hear what he said.

“’I’ve seen the face of God.’ That’s what I thought.” He smiled and placed a kiss on Brian’s lips. “And you still are. The face of God.”

“Of course”, Brian said, smirk in place, and Justin laughed and hit his chest in response. Leaving his hand there he looked up at Brian. “What did you think when you saw me?”

Brian looked up and away for a moment, and pretended to be thinking about it. He let Justin wait a few seconds for the answer. Then he smirked again, and looked back at him, repeating the words that had been echoing in his mind that night.

”I want to fuck him. I want to fuck him all night long”.

Justin grinned, and Brian pulled him close, and started kissing his neck again, before moving on to his ear. “You were pretty irresistable actually”, he whispered and Justin’s grin became wider as he closed his eyes and enjoyed Brian’s mouth playing with his ear and moving along his neck. Then Brian moved to his mouth and kissed him hungrily, the cold wind around them completely forgotten.

There was no better feeling in the world than the feeling he got when he was kissing Justin. Well, except from sex with Justin. But kissing Justin was always hot, it always made his whole body tingle, and made him hard and wanting more. When he was with Justin there was just no such thing as enough. Not ever.

“So”, Justin said breathlessly as they finally pulled back, his arms still around Brian. “Babylon?”

Brian looked towards the entrance of Babylon, watching the line of men outside waiting to get in. He and Justin wouldn’t have to get in line of course, he was the owner after all. It was only a few weeks since the place was re-opened after the bombing, and he was very happy with how things had been going since then. Babylon was still the same place it had always been. The men were still the same too. Somehow the men didn’t interest him quite as much as they used to though. He already had his favorite man in bed with him every night.

Suddenly he was no longer in the mood for Babylon. Instead he placed an arm around Justin’s shoulders and pulled him close.

“How about we go back to the loft and celebrate instead?” he whispered in Justin’s ear. Justin’s face was all smile and sunshine as he embraced Brian and just held him for a while. It felt good.

“That’s the best idea you’ve had all day”, Justin said into his shoulder, and Brian could hear the smile in his voice. “Happy anniversary, Brian.”

Brian placed a kiss on his mouth in response, and for a moment they just looked into each other's eyes. Then Justin took his hand. “Let’s go home”, he said, and together they walked back home to the loft.
