Keane is love. I still get goosebumps when I visualize their performance at the Werchter festival last summer. Atlantic is one of my favorite songs.

I loved everything about Keane's show. When I got home from Werchter I went to the store and bought the albums cuz i didn't had them before.

ooohhhhh... books... I just couldn't resist commenting! I love reading, but it's slowed down seriously since I got into QaF last year.

however, I did discover what is to me the “BJ of books...” simply the most amazing thing I've ever read in my life! it's fiction, not everyone's cup of tea 'cause it's definitely weird (there’s even a bit of boy-on-boy action in there!), but in “my kind” of weird. :-)

I’m not even going to try and give you a summary, or review or anything. maybe you’d like to read it, and I don’t want to give anything away. you can have a look at The end of Mr Y for more info.

if you do read it, let me know what you thought about it? I’m busy reading it now for the second time (in the bath only, since that is the only time that I don’t do something BJ – my notebook’s not all that fond of water! ;-) ), and it’s even more of a mind-fuck this time round!

GUSH WARNING

my manager borrowed the book from me last year, and for months didn't get around to reading it (I finally gave up). he returned from leave this morning and started jumping up and down about the book before he even greeted me, or said happy new year... LOL I bought myself another copy in the meantime, made that one his Xmas present, and he was ecstatic 'cause he wants to immediately read it again.

was SO sweet, I think I was more excited about him being excited than he was about the book! could have just gobbled him up. ;-)

an absolute mind-fuck (he would have said it too, if we weren't in semi-decent company ;-) ), if the theme etc. is something you like.

I wish people would just follow my example ;-) and only post about once a month - make that once every three! LOL - even though BJ fanfic is all I'm reading, and I don't even have school like you do, I'm just always behind on everyone's stories. don't have the time to watch the eps anymore, but I'm going to change that this year, watch first, then cruise the posts.

can you believe it, I'm actually busy finishing up on Purr-fect Love Chapter 7, hope to send it to my beta tonight. yeah. :-)

Oh yes, I'm behind on all the stories I'm reading too! When being new to the fandom there are so many old fanfics that I want to read as well, I think I have over 150 stories (series and one shots) saved to my memories and in my bookmarks at the moment, and I have no idea when I'll find time to read them all, and also keep up with the WIPs I'm reading! Haha, I'm not complaining though, I love having lots of great stories to look forward to! At the moment I'm totally obsessed with the series I'm reading, I can't put it away! But that's BJ, so addicting! ;)

I've only saved the ones I'm finished reading though, so the WIPs I'm reading and stories I haven't read yet, aren't there. But I keep adding more stories all the time, so just check in from time to time if you want to see what I've read :)

The series I'm reading at the moment is Broken Image (http://home.earthlink.net/~skj3/), have you read it? It's absolutely amazing, it's very long and pretty angsty, but SO GOOD. And the BJ love is described beautifully, and I just love seeing how much they need each other in that story :)

I read most things too, the only thing I don't read is m-preg and stories where Brian or Justin is dying (I just can't bring myself to read those stories). So if you're reading something good, feel free to let me know ;)

Haven’t read Broken Image, sounds like we have the same taste, so I’ll definitely have a look. I don’t touch, even read summaries of stories with anyone dying, not even if it isn’t BJ. Because if it’s Michael dying, it breaks Brain, and I can’t handle that. Another one is rape, no go. M-preg… yikes. I consider myself very open minded, I’ve got a live-and-let-live policy, I’ve fucked up enough in my own life to in any way judge or tell people what to do, and most things I’m willing to at least give it a try or fair chance, but m-preg… came across a story once, in my virgin-fanfic days, and started reading a couple of lines before I moved on. Just too weird – and I’m as much into sci-fi and fantasy as I am into romance.

Fuck… then there was a Harry Potter one with Draco and Lupin and his pack of wolves… OMG… nnnooooo… not into the anal-bleeding or animal thing either. Can’t think of anything else that would bother me… There’s two nice BDSM WIP series that started recently, my first-time exposure. I like it. No violence – my definition being that someone is being hurt against their will. And it’s not porn – I’ve read “plain” BJ fics that is outright porn, no storyline (haha… yeah… I loved them!), and some of the fisting stuff I think is more “intense,” for lack of a better word, than these two BDSM stories. I think it’s because fisting is usually very physical, you can’t rreeaalllyyy call it making love, whereas I’m pleasantly surprised that the BDSM sex is quite emotional.

How much sense does that make? :D

The lists… uhm… I might actually now be confusing you with someone else, although I’ve got no idea who that might be… I think it was either on the homepage or the profile that mention was made of love making lists? If it doesn’t ring any bells, don’t worry. :-)

You should definitely read Broken Image, it's absolutely amazing. Sounds like we agree on the things that we don't want to read! I can read rape fics though, but they have to be well written and they have to deal with the subject in a good way. I read The Judgement by

bloodyrose82, which is a rape fic, a few weeks back, and that's one of the best stories I've ever read. But yeah, I'm VERY selective when it comes to that kind of fics.

But yeah, no death fics, and no m-preg! You're right, it's too weird for me! I tried reading one too, but I had to stop, I wasn't comfortable with it at all ;) But I read pretty much everything else, as long as it doesn't get too extreme. I'm quite open to try different things, I think. I haven't read much BDSM though, but I wouldn't mind checking it out, as long as it's well written and stuff.

Wow… talk about timing… I got myself into trouble on… think it was Wednesday, on mpeg. Saw a post about mpeg becoming a reality, and replied:

LOL... I will now publicly admit, that apart from rape, anal bleeding, forced sex with minors, human-animal combinations (violent and really unnatural stuff, in other words), the only other thing I’m having difficulty wrapping my mind around, is mpreg.

Everything else… BRING IT ON!!! And I love to read things I know nothing about, I will try it at least once.

Maybe it’s because I don’t want kids, never have, never will. Got no problem with little people, but just need them to stay out of space, for thousands of reasons – if that offends you, please comment on my LJ or send me an email, I’d love to explain.

Maybe that’s also why I get the heaby-jibbies with lesbian sex (hey, I’m allowed to say that, I’ve tried it myself!), ‘cause they all want babies and go all motherly, and I can’t identify with that. Not at all. Not even just a tiny ietsy bit.

Now. Having said all that. I think mpreg is a great idea! Because there are people out there, whatever sexual orientation, that’s crying themselves to sleep every night ‘cause they can’t have kids. I knew a couple like that, and it’s fucking heartbreaking.
